The death occurred peacefully at the Atlantic Baptist Home, Charlottetown, on Sunday, May 31, 2026, of Marilyn Jean Wood (nee Cox), beloved wife of Philip Wood, aged 76.

She was the daughter of the late Walter and Bertha Cox. Marilyn was the loving mother of Kathleen Ryan; and grandmother of Sarah, Ellen, Margaret, and Charlotte.

She is also survived by her brothers, Robert Cox, John Cox, and Allan Cox; sisters, Louise Balderston, and Janice Hume; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Wendell Cox; and sister, Elizabeth Cox.

Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, New Glasgow. No funeral or visiting hours by personal request. Interment at a later date in the Charlottetown People’s Cemetery.
