The death occurred peacefully at the Palliative Care unit of the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Thursday March 19 2026, of Roy P Handrahan of Judes Point PEI aged 86.

He was the son of the late Alfred and Emily(McKinnon) Handrahan and beloved husband of the late Theresa(Arsenault) Handrahan who predeceased him in 2016.

Cherished father of Robert Handrahan.

Dear brother to Irma, Newfoundland, Patrick, Tignish, Hughie (Vicki) Boston Mass. Mary (Elmer) Tignish, Alfred (Teresa) Yukon Oklahoma, Eileen (Bradley) Alberton, Bonnie Ann (Barry) Alberton, and sister in law Pam Handrahan.

He will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews.

Roy was predeceased by his parents Alfred and Emily, his wife Theresa and brothers Austin, Stephen and Floyd, Sister Eleanor Brennan and her husband Edgar, brother in law Richard Fleming, and sister in law Irene(Gavin) Handrahan.

Resting at West Prince Funeral Home 522 Thompson Road.

There will be no visitation by personal request.

Funeral will take place at St. Simon & St.Jude Church,Tignish.
Friday March 27, 2026 at 10:30 am with Fr.Tim Broderick as celebrant.

Burial will take place at the St. Simon & St.Jude Cemetery at a later time and date
