The death occurred peacefully at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, PEI, on Thursday, March 19, 2026, of Inez Josephine Doiron; beloved wife of the late Louis Doiron; of Andrews of Charlottetown; formerly of Mayfield, PEI; aged 95.
Inez was the loving mother of Karen Doiron, Ann Burns (Brent), Ken Doiron (Susan), Kathy Doiron, Yvonne Doyle, Wayne Doiron (Threasa), Brenda Doiron (Paul), Doug Doiron, Patricia Doiron, Sandra Martens (Blair), Lisa McCourt (Paul), and Jason Doiron (Natasha Gunn).
Nana will be missed and remembered by grand-children, Brody Harding (Jocelyn), Brittany Harding, Alexander Doiron (Ashley), Peter Doiron (Emily), Chris Gauthier (Sarah), Launa Gauthier, Nick Gauthier (Katelyn), Curtis Doyle (Erinn), Kaitlyn Doyle, Sean Doyle (Eliza), Cory Doiron (Cory), Laura Giordano (Joe), Sheena Petten, Tyrell Doucette (Chelsea), Keltie Sommer (Mike), Telsyn Doucette (Kelly), Conner Doucette (Whitney), Melissa Somers , Julia Somers (Jason), Trevor McCourt, Nicole McCourt, Noah Doiron, and Jackson Doiron; along with 17 great grandchildren.
She is also survived by her siblings, Lorraine Carr (George deceased), and Dales Doiron (Barb); sisters-in-law Yvonne Duffy (Des), Peggy Reid (Francis deceased), Louise, Bernice; and brother-in-law Norman. She will also be remembered by many nieces and nephews, who will miss their Aunt Inee.
Inez was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Laura (Martin) Doiron; brothers Albert Doiron (Emma deceased), Elmer Doiron, Martin Doiron; sisters Rachel Warren (Milford deceased), Agnes Perry (William deceased), Anita Gallant (Thomas deceased), Carol Kennedy, and Kenneth, who died in infancy; as well as in-laws, Catherine and Alphonse Doiron.
Inez was an active member of many organizations, including the Catholic Women’s League, Al-Anon, and the Associates of Notre Dame, where her friendship and wise counsel will be missed.
Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, New Glasgow, for visitation on Sunday, March 22, 2026, from 4-8 p.m. Funeral service at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Hope River on Monday, March 23, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the Church Cemetery.
