The death occurred peacefully with family at his side, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, of Albert Stordy, of Beach Grove Home and formerly of Hunter River, aged 84 years. He was the son of the late Ralph and Jean Stordy (nee Trowsdale).

Albert was the loving father of Roy Stordy and Michelle Stordy; grandfather of Ashley Stordy, Kathlynn MacCallum (Evan), Joshua Stordy (Janika),Hailey Stordy and Nathan Stordy-James; and great-grandfather of seven.

He is also survived by his brother, Junior Stordy (Gail Dennis) and Vernon Stordy; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by Dorothy Wellman (nee Gillespie), the mother of his children; sister-in-law, Paula Stordy; and nephew, Sheldon Stordy.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of QEH for their exceptional care and compassion.

Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, New Glasgow, for visitation on Thursday, March 5, 2026, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Central Queen’s Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment later in Crapaud People’s Cemetery.
