It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Anita Edwards (McMurrer), of Hampshire, aged 60 years, at her home on Saturday, February 21, 2026.

She was the loving wife of 39 years to Kevin Edwards. Anita was the daughter of the late David and Louise (McInnis) McMurrer.

She is survived by her siblings, Jean, Helen Langer, Kevin (Linda), Ann (Steve Gosnell), Jimmy (Lilla) and David (Angela); mother-in-law, Rena (Charlie); sister-in-law, Wanda MacLeod (Byron); several nieces and nephews; and loving fur-baby, “Skittle Baby”.

Besides her parents, Anita was predeceased by her sister, Joan McCloskey (Austin); father-in-law, Robert Edwards; brothers-in-law, Sonny MacDonald and Kevin Langer; and nephew, Parker Gosnell.

Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, New Glasgow. A service in the Funeral Home Chapel for family and friends will take place on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 6:30 p.m.
