It is with profound sadness that the family of Alexander “Roger” MacLeod of Ebenezer, announce his peaceful passing at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Monday, February 9, 2026, in his 82nd year.
Roger was born August 24, 1944, to his parents, Alec and Florrie (Cobb) MacLeod.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jean (Ford); and his children, Bonnie, Brenda (Tony Gunn), Lori (Leith Ford) and Trevor (Krista). Roger will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Steven and Alicia Coughlin, Chelsea (Liam) Campbell, Hope Gunn, Wyatt and Mac MacLeod; and by his great-grandchildren, Teegan Cotter, Jayden and Jaxon Coughlin.
He is also survived by his siblings, Joyce (Albert) Haslam, Wanda Marshall, and Barb (Ronnie) O’Donnell; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Roger was predeceased by his brother, Wayne; in-laws, Ivan and Joyce Ford; brothers and sisters-in-law, Katie MacLeod, Hall Marshall, Donnie Dawson, Erwin Ford, Jean Ford, Lee Ford and Isabelle Ford.
By personal request, there will be no visiting hours or funeral service.
The family would like to sincerely thank the doctors and staff of the QEH and the Cancer Treatment Centre for the wonderful care Dad received during his illness.
