Fraser, Moriah AnneFebruary 6, 2026

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our dear little daughter, Moriah Anne Fraser. Born at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown, PEI on January 11th, 2026, Moriah spent a brief but glorious twenty six days in her parent’s arms. With serious heart and lung defects, the doctor's diagnosis prepared us for this outcome. God graciously gave us more time than anyone expected which she spent being snuggled, kissed, sung to, read to, loved by siblings, going on family outings, and being treasured for the beautiful life that she has been given. Our hearts are filled with gratitude to God for the profound impact her life of only nine months plus twenty six days has had on us.

We do not mourn like those whose only hope is in this earthly life. Moriah is not dead. Although departed from us, she is fully alive in the presence of the God that breathed her immortal soul into existence. Safely basking in the radiance of the glory of the Creator of the universe, she is now fully healed, entirely secure and forever with the Lord. This is not the end; it is just the beginning. Moriah Anne is now safe in the arms of Jesus. “Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so.”

God has mercy on little children who die. Scripture is full of examples. He promised the land of Canaan to the innocent children of the Hebrews. David knew he would see his newborn child in eternity again. Christ invites little children to come to Him and says that the nature of those in eternal rest are those who come to Him “like little children.” We entrust our daughter to the mercy and grace of God. “Shall not the Judge of all the earth do what is just?” Genesis 18:25

Moriah will be lovingly remembered by her parents, Jared and Laura Fraser; her big sister, McKinley; her big brothers, Hudson, Lachlan and Bennett; grandparents, Fenno and Dianne DeVries and Daniel and Charlotte Fraser; as well as all her aunts, uncles and cousins. She would have loved to continue being part of our family.

All children deserve to be held by their parents. Despite her medical complications and despite multiple recommendations to prematurely end her life, Moriah received what many do not: a loving goodbye. We celebrate her and honour her by recognizing her personhood and the value she has as one created uniquely and specially in the image of God.

A funeral service will be held at the Charlottetown Bible Chapel, on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleaseant Valley.
