On Thursday Feb 5th beloved Mother, adored Mémé, Grand-mère, sister and dear friend Stella Allain (nee LeClair) passed peacefully surrounded by family at the Western Hospital.She was predeceased by her long time husband Frederick Allain.

Born in St Peter and St Paul PEI on October 25th, 1940. She was the daughter of the late Peter and Ermine (Gallant) LeClair.

She will be dearly missed by her partner Billy (William) Chaisson. He brought much joy to her life in the recent years. Life will not be the same without Mom for her children Darlene (Steve), Marie, Wanda (Mike), Judy (Michael),
Shawn (Krista) along with her 12 grandchildren, and 11, soon to be 12, great-grandchildren plus numerous nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her sisters Alice (late Francis) Allain, Viola (late Eldon) Gallant, Mary (late Alyre) Richard, and sister in Laws Ester, Julia, Linda, Irene.

Predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Arther, Gerry, Joe, Alphonse, Beatrice (Raymond) Martin, and Doris (Joe) Pitre.

Stella was always full of life and ready for a laugh and a good game of cards. She loved dancing, having company, and always had time for a fun game of crib.
She spent many hours sitting by the stove and enjoying nice long phone conversations and let’s not forget that drive out for ice cream on warm summer evenings. Mom loved starting her day feeding her beloved birds, and visits from her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, filling the
house with loving noise and laughter. She also enjoyed making them a good pie or two, it was a pleasure that always warmed her heart and filled it with pride.

Her grandchildren great-grandchildren will always remember how special she made them feel and they will cherish those memories forever.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Western Hospital, the kitchen staff, the cleaning staff, security and especially the nursing and care staff. They are such a kind and compassionate team. They always made sure Mom was comfortable and well looked after.


Visitation will be Monday,February 9,2026 at West Prince Funeral home , 522 Thompson rd. from 7:00 to 9:oo pm

Funeral will take place Tuesday February 10, at 2:00pm at Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Rd. Officiant is Fr. Tim Broderick


In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Stella to the St Louis Elementary School breakfast fund. (donations can be made by e-transfer to wpfh@bellaliant.com, or drop off the money to the funeral home)

A light reception will be held at the Parish Hall at Palmer Road following the funeral.
