It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Danny Deagle, who passed away on December 7, 2025, at the age of 59, at Dartmouth General Hospital. His death was sudden and unexpected. He was surrounded by loved ones, family, and friends.

Danny leaves behind his beloved daughter, Erika Deagle, of Bedford, NS; his life partner, Amanda Salsman, of Dartmouth, NS; his “forever baby sister,” Leah Deagle (Kevin Wilson) of Mount Pleasant, PEI; his brother Alfred Deagle (Kim Ellsworth) of Miminegash, PEI; his brother Sean Deagle (Kim Deagle) of Summerside, PEI; his best friend of nearly 20 years, Paul Feltron of Dartmouth, NS; his two nephews, Lance Deagle and Judson Wilson; and many aunts, uncles, extended family, and friends.

Danny was loved by everyone he met. He had a heart of gold and was always trying to help others. His smile was warm and constant, and he was known for giving the biggest, most comforting bear hugs—anyone lucky enough to receive one knew how special they were. Danny will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Above all, Danny was an extraordinary father. His daughter was his golden heart. His character spoke kindness, compassion, goofiness, and resilience—qualities that shaped not only her life, but the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Danny loved serving the public and took great pride in his work. He was known for his cooking—from Ma Bell’s Restaurant to Giggles Ice Cream Shop, Giggles Pizza, and eventually his Giggles Food Truck, where he became well-known and deeply proud of his homemade fish and chips. Not only will he be missed, but so will his amazing food.

He was predeceased by his parents, Wilfred Deagle and Helen Deagle (Doucette), and his ex-wife Christina (Snelgrove) Deagle.

A celebration of life will be held at the Miminegash Fire Hall on December 21, 2025, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend.
