Suddenly, the death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Monday, November 10, 2025, of Sylvia Ann MacQuarrie (nee Rafuse), of Covehead Road, aged 74 years.

Born in Charlottetown on August 13, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Louise Rafuse. Beloved partner of the late Lester Huggan.

Loving mother of Lori MacKinnon (Shawn) and the late Alan MacQuarrie. Cherished grandmother of Dawson Toombs (Shayla Downe) and Briann Toombs. Fondly remembered by members of the Huggan Family—Tracy Huggan, Daryl (Tracy), Cathy (Mitchell) and Craig (Cora). Dear sister of Patsy Matheson (Allan), Anita Naves and Gail Chandler. Predeceased by her sister, Linda Axworthy; brother, Earl “Junior” Rafuse; and brothers-in-law Jimmy Chandler, Bob Naves and Harold Axworthy.

Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, New Glasgow. There will be no visitation or funeral by personal request.
