It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Alvin Perry, who departed this life peacefully on November 2nd, 2025, in his 78th year surrounded by his loving family.

Michael was born on March 20th, 1947, in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, to Alvin and Hilda Perry. Michael was a devoted husband to Adele (nee Jobidon), his loving wife of 55 years; and a loving father to Matthew (Tara Currie) and Joshua (Laura Mercer). He was a proud and loving grandfather to Claire and Miles Perry as well as a patient caregiver to his sons' many pets.

He leaves behind his sister, Sylvia (Reggie Folz); and brothers, Peter (Lise), Nelson (Sue), and Edgar (Carol). He was predeceased by his parents; and sister, Bernadette.

Michael was a proud and hard-working man whose career was highlighted with his time in the military where he served as a peacekeeper for the Royal Canadian Infantry including time overseas in Cyprus, Germany and France. He was also immensely proud of his athletic prowess which started early and he won titles in golf, hockey, Tug-of-War and track and field both in the military and through retirement. He found great enjoyment in playing and coaching his sons in hockey, soccer and softball. However, golf was his passion. Some of Michael’s happiest moments and joy were had golfing with his sons, brothers, grandchildren and friends.

In retirement, he spent time with his beloved Adele exploring Prince Edward Island together.

Michael’s kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family will never be forgotten.

Resting at Central Queen's Funeral Home, New Glasgow for visitation on Friday, November 7, 2025 from 5-7 p.m. The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church, Rustico, with burial to follow in St. Augustine's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alziemher's Society of Prince Edward Island in Michael’s memory would be appreciated.
