Burgoyne, Erroll RalphJanuary 21, 2025


The death occurred peacefully, with family by his side at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, of Erroll Burgoyne, beloved husband of Sandra Dawn Weeks, of Springvale, age 66.

He was the son of Layton and Jean (Deceased) Burgoyne.

Erroll was the loving father of Brittany Ellen Loughran (Chad) Courtney Murphy (Mitchell), Brittany Dawn Watts, Jeremy Watts and Joel Watts; and grandfather of Kylie, Wyatt, Rhett, Eli, Harrison and Jax.

He is also survived by his siblings, Joyce Maloney (Mike), Ross (Amy), Brenda Vanderveen (George), Glenda Burgoyne-Miller (Greg), and Heather Chapman (Bobby); mother-in-law, Mary Weeks; brother-in-law, Craig Weeks (Kim); and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

Besides his mother, Jean, Erroll was predeceased by his sister, Barb Coupland (Graham); and father-in-law, Harrison Weeks.

The family would like to thank the staff of the QEH, Palliative Home Care, and our angel on earth, Kathryn Roberts.

Resting at Central Queen’s United Church, Hunter River. Visitation will be held in the church on Thursday, January 23, 2025, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral will be held at Central Queen’s United Church on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. Interment in the church cemetery.

The funeral service for the late Erroll Ralph Burgoyne as held on Friday, January 24, 2025 , at Central Queens United Church, Hunter River. The service was conducted by Reverend Greg Davis who offered prayer and words of comfort to the family in his message. Scripture readings included I Corinthians 13:1-13, read by Kendra Oliver-Dares and Romans 8:31-39, read by Rev. Davis. Words of Remembrance were given by Marjorie MacLean. Music was provided by pianist, Christine Belanger. Musical selections included: “When I Get to Where I’m Going” audio recording by Brad Paisley; “Amazing Grace” audio recording by Carrie Underwood; and “Never Not Remember You” audio recording by Cooper Alan. The bearer of honour was James O’Connor and nieces and nephews assisted as flower bearers. The interment took place in the church cemetery where Reverend Davis conducted the committal service.
